What is a and b for the system 2a-5b=16 and a+7b=-13

We have to solve the system of
equations:

2a - 5b = 16
...(1)

a + 7b = -13
...(2)

(2)

=> a + 7b =
-13

=> a = -13 -
7b

substitute in (1)

=>
2*(-13 - 7b) - 5b = 16

=> -26 - 14b - 5b =
16

=> -19b =
42

=> b = -42/19

a =
-13 - 7*b

=> -13 +
7*(42/19)

=> a =
47/19

The required values are a = 47/19 and b
= -42/19

Can (sec x - cosec x) / (tan x - cot x) be simplified further?

Given the expression ( sec x - csec x ) / (tan x - cot x) We need to simplify. We will use trigonometric identities ...
