If 2x-3y= 5 and x+3y= 4 find the values of x and y.

Given the system:

2x-3y = 5
.............(1)

x+ 3y =
4................(2)

We have a system of two equations and
two variables.

We will use the elimination method to solve
for x and y.

We will add (1) and
(2).

==> 3x = 9

Now we
will divide by 3.

==> x
=3

Now we will substitute into (2) to find
y.

==> x+ 3y =
4

==> 3 + 3y =
4

==> 3y = 1

==>
y= 1/3

Then the solution to the system is
:

x= 3 and y=
1/3

Can (sec x - cosec x) / (tan x - cot x) be simplified further?

Given the expression ( sec x - csec x ) / (tan x - cot x) We need to simplify. We will use trigonometric identities ...
