Why is Julius Caesar the protagonist in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar?

The protagonist is the main character. Julius Caesar is
the main character. The whole play revolves around Caesar. Because he is becoming overly
ambitious, Cassius whispers to Brutus in the night about a plot to murder
Caesar.

After the conspiracy has formed, the conspirators
stab Caesar about thirty times. They wanted to put fear in the people that a tyrant must
die a bloody death.

Even in death, Caesar's ghost is a part
of the action. He still remains an active part of the play. Brutus sees Caesar's ghost
and realizes that his tyranny lives on.

Brutus and Cassius
are defeated by Octavian and Antony. Octavian and Antony carry on the memory of Caesar.
In the end, Cassius and Brutus fall on their swords in defeat. Caesar's death is
avenged. Caesar is in every aspect of the play from beginning to end.
